As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.Working on our rotating plant equipment at Energy Services, you will ensure that equipment is maintained to the highest standards to meet our objectives for safety, quality, and reliability. You will apply your mechanical fitting skills and experience to complete both complex and routine maintenance tasks, with a focus on improving our equipment performance and reliability by understanding plant and equipment condition and then implementing corrective actions to restore as required.What Will You Do?In a role that impacts the safety of our people as well as the quality and reliability of our equipment and products, you will:utilising your trade skills to carry out the total maintenance function on our rotating equipment and plant inspecting quality critical equipment and fault finding resolving issues and fixing any non-conformances seeking ways to continuously improve our maintenance strategies More About YouAs a Mechanical Fitter, you’ll enjoy taking ownership for your work and contributing to the larger team. You will bring:mechanical fitter/machinist qualifications consisting of either a Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma.experience within a maintenance function in a heavy industrial environmentexposure to maintenance management systems and/or basic computer skillsan enthusiasm to learn new skills and develop yourself in the roleWhy BlueScopeAs we’re creating strength for the future through our people, products and solutions, BlueScope supports you to build your expertise within a safe and positive team environment.
