Title:Engineering Technician VTitle: Engineering Technician VService Contract Agreement PositionKBR is seeking to hire an Engineering Technician V in support of the U.S. Navy /Air Force CYP CCTV Lifecycle Support Service program. The successful candidate will be tasked with the following:

Provide preventive and remedial maintenance services on IP-based CCTV systems.

Diagnose and correct equipment malfunctions and failures.

Perform function tests and analysis on various systems.

Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning on all CCTV system components.

Provide on-site system training and technical support as needed.

Update the web-based maintenance management system and provide tracking of government equipment.

Education/Training:

Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science

or Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications

or four-year electronics apprentice program; or High School diploma or GED.

Experience:

Six (6) with degree/formal training or ten (10) years with HS/GED of practical experience to include: design, preparation and modification of engineering documents and drawings. Individual shall have notable experience performing one or a combination of the following duties: designs, develops, and constructs major units, devices, or equipment; conducts tests or experiments; analyzes results and redesigns or modifies equipment to improve performance; and reports results; from general guidelines and specifications (e.g., size or weight requirements), develops designs for equipment without critical performance requirements that are difficult to satisfy such as engine parts, research instruments, or special purpose circuitry.

Analyzes technical data to determine applicability to design problems; selects from several possible design layouts; calculates design data; and prepares layouts, detailed specifications, parts lists, estimates, procedures, etc.

May check and analyze drawings or equipment to determine adequacy of drawings and design; and plans or assists in planning tests to evaluate equipment performance.

Determines test requirements, equipment modification, and test procedures; conducts tests using all types of instruments; analyzes and evaluates test results, and prepares reports on findings and recommendations.

Individual shall be capable of performing non-routine and complex assignments involving responsibility for planning and conducting a complete project of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project, selects and adapts plans, techniques, designs, or layouts, contacts personnel in related activities to resolve problems and coordinate the work, reviews, analyzes, and integrates the technical work of others.

Individual may train and be assisted by lower level technicians. Completed work is reviewed for technical adequacy and satisfaction of requirements.

Travel:

75% travel is required; the candidate must be willing to travel throughout the United States and internationally.

Skills/Abilities:

A successful candidate must have a solid history of functioning in a team environment, being a self-starter, working independently with limited instruction, and meeting critical demands.

Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Standard MS Office software product knowledge (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.

Special consideration is given to candidates with OEM factory training from Genetec, Axis, and/or Cisco Switches.
