Summary Analyzes data for creation of statistical reports used for program or process evaluation. Responsible for maintaining databases and extracting data for analysis. Runs and reviews reports, analyzing results in support of operational functions. Description •40% Reviews, extracts and analyzes data to be used in formulation of procedures, processes and other requirements. Provides reports of relevant activity to be used to identify problematic areas and to provide basis for modification and/or elimination of operations issues.•35% Assists with development of complex analysis and sophisticated data compilation, verification, and interpretations to guide divisional efforts. Performs focused analyses as needed. Creates data search programs to identify pertinent data needed to provide supporting documentation for system or operational enhancements/changes.•25% Documents reporting procedures so other staff can run ad hoc reports independently. Designs, codes, and maintains complex database programs for the extraction and analysis of data to support financial and operational decisions. Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Healthcare, or related field OR Two-year degree in Computer Science, Business or related field and two years of reporting and data analysis work experience OR Four years reporting and data analysis experience Required Work Experience: Two years research and analysis experience Preferred Work Experience: Four years of research and analysis experience Two years of Tricare or VA CCN experience Required Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational, customer service, communications, and analytical skills Ability to use complex mathematical calculations Advanced knowledge of mathematical and statistical concepts Advanced knowledge of relevant computer support systems, database applications, and software systems to organize, track and report data Ability to analyze data results, determine the source of aberrant statistics, and resolve data issues Ability to write and execute queries Preferred Skills and Abilities: Ability to utilize systems knowledge and resources to automate business processes and develop more useful forms and reports Computer programming skills Innovative with strong analytical skills to develop creative solutions to complex problems Required Software and Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft Office to include Microsoft Access Knowledge of tools such as Visual basic and Macros useful in automating reporting processes Knowledge of programming languages including DB2 and SQL Work Environment: Typical office environment We participate in E-Verify and comply with the Pay Transparency Nondiscrimination Provision.
