Job Description

Come and join us and provide support in the development and execution of our capital projects in order to ensure a high level of confidence and predictability in the delivery of our existing and future operational opportunities and requirements.

Other key responsibilities will involve

  • Resourcing all key projects and studies with the right team to deliver on the agreed objectives and manage all project and engineering contractor relationships
  • Providing specialist support across all projects and studies in key areas of Project Management, Engineering Management, Commercial Management and Project Controls
  • Specialist technical support and service for water and residue management
  • Reviewing all key projects via Investment Assurance group with quality reviewers appropriate for the work

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate qualification (Bachelors / Honours degree or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline

    OR A postgraduate qualification (Masters / Doctoral degree or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline OR a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity
  • Must Understand roles and responsibilities of the various functions and disciplines on the project team including major contract organisations and owner organisations in the mining and metals industries
  • Proven ability to understand and be able to synthesise cross-functional information from functions (This will include geology, metallurgy/process, mine engineering, geostatistical modelling, operations, projects, information technology, tax, treasury, financials, environmental, social, political, land, legal, human resources, supply chain, and security)
  • Able to adapt different methodologies agile, waterfall etc. to achieve business outcome and maintain sound project discipline
  • Experience in wide variety of projects, with varying financial drivers, varying project risks and project costs up to and including $1B
  • Strong track record of leading the analysis and early business/engineering to establish the conceptual viability of step changes in resource and technology endowment opportunities within a global, multi-commodity mining organisation
  • Ability to communicate complex information in varying forms (verbal, presentation, report) to audiences ranging from technical team members to CEOs
