Tooling Technician$27/hrJob DescriptionAs a Tooling Technician, you will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, tool drawings, and designs for machining and spare parts, and implementing changes on molds and tools. You will troubleshoot, solve, and perform mold and tooling repairs and retrofit work. Additionally, you will perform mold repair and troubleshooting activities in the press during production runs and conduct regular preventative maintenance.Responsibilities
Interpret blueprints, tool drawings, and designs for machining and spare parts.
Implement changes on molds and tools.
Troubleshoot, solve, and perform mold and tooling repairs and retrofit work.
Perform mold repair and troubleshooting activities in the press during production runs.
Conduct regular preventative maintenance.
Repair hot runner systems, valve operated gating systems, water leaks, and damages.
Fabricate jigs, assemble fixtures, and manufacture parts for auxiliary equipment and presses.
Perform standard work and update EAM accordingly.
Perform insert and version changes on molds.
Participate in mold move calls.
Work safely and efficiently using all required personal protective and safety equipment.
Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain all CI, 5S, and STW activities.
Other duties as assigned.
