Eligibility Verification Specialist

Description We are seeking an Eligibility Verification Specialist for our healthcare team based in Greenville, South Carolina. In this role, you will primarily be handling customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving inquiries. With a focus on Medicaid and data entry, you will be navigating different state Medicaid portals for verification purposes. Responsibilities: Efficiently process customer applications related to Medicaid Ensure accurate customer record keeping Handle customer inquiries and provide appropriate resolutions Conduct research related to Medicaid Utilize software such as Adobe Acrobat, Allscripts, Care Compass, and Cerner Technologies for various tasks Manage billing functions and claim administration Oversee clinical trial operations Answer inbound calls and respond to internal emails Prepare charts and graphs for data representation Utilize Excel to upload spreadsheets with pending work Maintain punctuality and regular attendance, demonstrating reliability. Requirements Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat is required for document management. Familiarity with Allscripts for patient data management and electronic health record keeping. Experience with Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA) to manage military health records. Ability to use Care Compass for tracking patient care and interventions. Knowledge of Cerner Technologies for healthcare IT solutions is a must. Capable of answering inbound calls addressing patient inquiries and scheduling appointments. Must be able to handle various billing functions such as invoicing, claims processing, and payment tracking. Ability to create and interpret charts and graphs for data analysis and reporting. Experience with claim administration, including processing, follow-up, and dispute resolution. Familiarity with clinical trial operations, including protocol development, patient recruitment, and data collection.
