SCOPE:

The Area Sales Director is a manager in the sales organization. This position helps Sirtex achieve its objectives by actively managing the current sales organization of Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and Area Sales Representatives (ASRs), recruiting all new and replacement RSMs and ASRs, helping to manage the sales budget, and working with other functional team members to actively support the resources needed for the sales team to execute the agreed upon plan.NOTE: Candidates must live within the South Central territory which consists of TX, NE, KS, OK, MO, AR, LA and MSPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Manages area sales budget and quotasWorks directly with the VP to implement strategies and tactics to help the team achieve budgetDevelops recommended sales plan for all RSMs and ASRs Manages all sales expenses for his/her areaActively recruits all new and replacement RSMs and ASRsMakes recommendations for account coverage and territory geographies for Sales teamsActively works with Marketing and Management in managing Key Opinion Leader relationshipsAssists in Regional Sales Management and AOM developmentCoordinates training for all existing and new RSMs, and ASRsCreates sales programs in order to facilitate sales objectivesWorks with cross-functional team to appropriately resource Sales team needsWorks directly with Marketing function to execute agreed upon strategies and tactics, including all new product launchesKeeps current with all continuing education on latest information related to disease states and the changing business environmentCompliance with AdvaMed
