Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Concrete Finisher for a project in Hopkins, SC!
Contract-to-Perm position for the right candidate! Must be willing to travel.
PAY: $24-$26/hr (based upon experience)
HOURS: 7:00am-3:30pm
PER DIEM: Applies once hired on Perm and begin traveling
SCHEDULE: Work will be Monday-Friday; approximately 40 hours/week
START DATE: ASAP

Concrete Finisher Job Description:
A Concrete Finisher is a skilled tradesperson responsible for finishing concrete surfaces, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards. This role requires an individual who is capable of working on military bases, can obtain the necessary security badge for base access, and is willing and able to travel full-time for project assignments. The Concrete Finisher will work on a variety of construction projects, including foundations, floors, sidewalks, curbs, and other concrete structures.
Key Responsibilities:
Concrete Pouring and Finishing:
Prepare and finish concrete surfaces, including floors, driveways, sidewalks, curbs, and foundations.
Apply finishing techniques to concrete surfaces, such as smoothing, leveling, and shaping.
Use hand tools such as trowels, floats, and edgers, as well as power tools like concrete saws and grinders.
Form Setting and Reinforcement:
Construct and set forms for concrete pouring, ensuring they are aligned and level.
Install reinforcement materials, including rebar and wire mesh, to strengthen concrete structures.
Mixing and Pouring:
Mix and pour concrete, ensuring the correct proportions of materials are used.
Coordinate with the team to ensure timely delivery and placement of concrete.
Surface Treatment:
Apply finishes such as smooth, brushed, or exposed aggregate, depending on project specifications.
Use specialized tools and techniques to apply surface treatments that enhance durability and aesthetic appearance.
Quality Control:
Inspect concrete for imperfections and take corrective actions to ensure smooth, level, and durable finishes.
Monitor curing times and conditions to ensure optimal setting of concrete.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols when working with heavy equipment, chemicals, and construction tools.
Maintain compliance with military base regulations, including strict security and safety standards.
Military Base Requirements:
Able to pass all necessary background checks and obtain required security clearance to work on military installations.
Possess the ability to acquire and maintain a valid badge for access to military bases.
Travel:
Willing and able to travel full-time for project assignments across various locations.
Adaptable to working in different environments and conditions, from construction sites to military bases.
Qualifications for Concrete Finisher:
Experience: Proven experience as a concrete finisher with expertise in various finishing techniques
Experience working in construction environments, particularly with military or government projects, is preferred.
Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate construction equipment as necessary.
Must be able to obtain a security badge to access military bases.
Must pass background checks and drug screenings as required for military and government-related work.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work on feet for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction plans.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Knowledge of concrete curing and finishing processes, as well as the use of related tools and equipment.
Must be able to safely use hand/power tools and PPE

Must have reliable transportation to the job site
