Now Hiring: Wildlife Technician – Palmetto Wildlife Extractors
Job Summary:
The Wildlife Technician is responsible for performing wildlife removal and exclusion services. This includes inspecting homes, removing nuisance wildlife, installing exclusion materials, and mentoring junior technicians.

Responsibilities:
Work confidently and safely on steep-pitched roofs and at higher elevations.
Climb, handle and move ladders (up to 60’).
Perform work around building foundations and within crawlspaces.
Install exclusion materials including metal sheeting and other custom solutions.
Operate hand and power tools, caulk guns, and measuring equipment with precision.
Utilize mobile software for reporting and communication.
Lead by example in fieldwork, safety, and customer interactions.

Required Qualifications:
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Clean driving record (no tickets or accidents in the past 5 years)- NO EXCEPTIONS!
Must be comfortable working at heights on ladders and on the roof
The ability to work on steep pitches is required
Must be comfortable in confined spaces (attics and crawlspaces)
Must be able to lift/move heavy ladders and equipment
Must have hand and power tool experience
Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (rain, heat, cold).
Must be able to read a tape measure, cut and install metal, and perform precise, clean work.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to follow detailed instructions.
Transferable, relevant experience in wildlife, pest control, roofing, or related trades
Must have reliable transportation to and from headquarters.
Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
Pay Range: Starting at $20/hour, with higher rates available based on experience, certifications, and skill level.
