The City of Columbia is seeking an individual who understands and appreciates both external and internal customers and can excel in a high volume, deadline driven, collaborative team environment. The work in this position involves providing customer service to employees, the public, and Human Resources staff. There are a variety of responsibilities related to purchasing, scheduling appointments; and filing. The ideal candidate will have a High school diploma or equivalent( post-secondary coursework in business administration or similar field preferred) and three years of clerical experience.Provide administrative support to assigned City department, including clerical, receptionist, customer service, and financial administration duties.
