Translation Engineer

Brightspeed is searching for a Translations Engineer.  As a Translations Engineer you will be the telecom professional responsible for the design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex translations content contained in the database structures of each voice switching office throughout the Brightspeed voice network.  Your work ensures successful trunk provisioning, call routing and call charging of all voice traffic throughout the Brightspeed portion of the Public Switched Telephone Network.         As a Translations Engineer your duties will include but are not limited to:Reviewing, prioritizing, and implementing all pending trunk provisioning, routing, and project related work for those switches assigned to you.Scheduling your activities to meet the customer’s need and to minimize any adverse impact to customer service.Exercising your best professional judgement in implementing all translations changes to minimize the risk of service degradations and outages attributable to your activities.Providing translations support for all projects assigned to you.  This includes designing translations solutions for major network events and new product offerings.Rendering translations technical assistance to other Brightspeed work groups as requests are received therefrom.Analyzing and optimizing the translations in all your assigned switches.Maintaining awareness of and compliance with all regulatory requirements regarding telephone services provided to Brightspeed customers in switches under your purview.Providing training to Brightspeed employees in a wide variety of translations topics, i.e., routing, screening, signaling, troubleshooting, and billing.
