You may be responsible for things such as, but not limited to: detecting any suspicious behavior, checking ID for under-aged patrons, preventing vandalism and thefts, marked vehicle patrol duty, foot patrol, loss prevention, executive protection of a client and their possessions, escorting students or other patrons as requested, overnight watch, checking bags or clearance qualifications, enforcing establishment rules or guidelines, removing unruly or overserved guests, reporting emergencies, communicating offenses to local authorities, etc.
The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation skills, situational awareness and professionalism. Our goal is to help the clients maintain an excellent working environment or atmosphere for entertaining by keeping the establishment and patrons safe and problem-free.
We have an array of shifts that vary by location. No matter where you are assigned, there will be physical requirements that may include: standing in one place, walking for the duration of the shift, operating a motor vehicle, going up and down stairs, using elevators or moderate lifting.
We operate around the clock! Day, night, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Responsibilities
Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence as directed in orders
Monitor and authorize entrance of people in the property
Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the property, if needed
Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations
Check in with team regularly and maintain an open line of communication
Monitor patrons for suspicious activity or illicit possessions
Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
Provide assistance to people in need
Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities
Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
Skills
Experience as security officer or guard - Preferred
Prior military or law enforcement- Welcome
Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety - Preferred
Familiarity with report writing - Preferred
Excellent surveillance and observation skills - Required
Tech-savvy with experience using apps on phone- Required
Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense - Preferred
Registered as a security officer - Preferred
High School diploma- Required
Reliable Transportation-Required
