Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee key financial operations across the US and Canada. This is a leadership role where you will manage critical processes like Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Record to Report, and Treasury, while leading a small but growing team. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams globally, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with statutory accounting and tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Operations:

-Manage AP, AR, GL, Fixed Assets, Treasury, and month-end/annual closing for US & Canada.

-Implement process improvements to automate and streamline finance operations.

-Ensure timely submission of monthly financial reports.

-Oversee account reconciliation, tax preparation, and statutory compliance.

-Implement strong financial controls and act as a guardian of business processes.

Leadership:

-Lead and mentor a small team of accounting professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.

-Collaborate with global teams and internal departments to complete the month-end close.

-Drive improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Stakeholder Engagement:

-Serve as the main contact for internal and external stakeholders on accounting matters.

-Influence decision-making with data-driven insights and clear communication.

What You Need:

Experience & Skills:

-Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

-5+ years of experience as a Senior Accountant, ideally in an international company or audit background.

-Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate a team.

-Proficiency in ERP systems, BI tools, and advanced Excel skills.

-Knowledge of tax reporting and statutory compliance (sales, corporate, business taxes).

-Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

-Strong communication and presentation abilities to influence stakeholders at all levels.

-Ability to work in a matrix organization with a global mindset.

Travel: 1-2 weeks per year to the headquarters (international travel may be required).
