Scope of Work: The USMC IdOps Systems Engineer will work with the IdOps Lead System Engineer and Technical Lead to assist Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic for the United States Marine Corp (USMC) IdOps systems to include portable forensic exploitation laboratory kits and multi-modal biometric collection system.

Essential Functions: The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with:
  • Execution of the Engineering Change Proposal cycle.
  • Maintaining systems in sustainment by managing current and forecasted schedules.
  • The DoD Acquisition life cycle.
  • Assisting with market research for new or existing IdOps systems.
  • Duplication of software media
  • Assisting in the development and review of Technical Documentation.
  • Assisting with planning, analysis of alternatives, and procurement of COTS and GOTS software components.
  • Enhance existing test cases and plans to ensure products’ reliability and usability.
  • Prepare plans for validation methods, tools, and processes for various tests.
  • Provide technical support to technicians for various testing activities.
  • Perform product validation and verification of hardware in field or lab environment.
  • Work with system engineers to organize and analyze test data.
  • Support data analysis, integration, problem resolution, and process improvements.
  • Software schedule reviews/updates through software lifecycles.

Requirements/Experience:
  • Bachelors degree from accredited institution in Electrical Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physical Science, or Mathematics
  • Three (3) years of experience in relevant technical field, to include: Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Support, Test and Evaluation, and Logistics support of C5ISR requirements.
  • One (1) years of technical experience in support of Design, Development, Production, Installation, and Test & Evaluation of Biometric/ Forensic Systems.
  • Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a DoD security clearance
  • 8570 Compliant: CompTIA Security+ certified within 6 month of start date
