Human Resources Manager

1. Employee Relations (ER) & Industrial Relations (IR)Manage disciplinary processes, grievances, and counselling sessions.Provide expert guidance on IR issues in line with the Labour Relations Act, BCEA, and company policies.Conduct internal investigations and maintain accurate case documentation.Serve as a point of contact for employee queries, workplace disputes, and resolution processes.2. HR Compliance & ReportingOversee Employment Equity (EE) reporting and facilitate EEA2 & EEA4 submissions.Coordinate Workplace Skills Plans (WSP) and Annual Training Reports (ATR) for submission to the relevant SETA.Ensure full compliance with all South African labour legislation and company policies.Maintain and update the Employment Equity and Skills Development Committees.3. Recruitment & Talent AcquisitionManage the end-to-end recruitment process: drafting job specs, advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding.Coordinate pre-employment checks and ensure effective integration of new hires.Maintain accurate and updated employment contracts and records.4. Attendance & HR AdministrationMonitor employee attendance and timekeeping systems, and manage related queries.Maintain and update employee records including contracts, leave, and disciplinary documentation.Ensure HR administrative processes (filing, record-keeping, documentation) are compliant, efficient, and well-organised.5. Learning & DevelopmentIdentify training needs and liaise with training provider.Track training attendance, evaluations, and effectiveness.Align learning initiatives with Skills Development goals.6. Employee Engagement & SupportAct as a confidential and approachable soundboard for employees.Promote positive employee morale, wellbeing, and inclusive culture.Participate in initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.7. Contract & Document ManagementDraft, issue, and update employee contracts, addendums, and HR letters.Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all employee documentation.Store records on employee files8. Performance ManagementImplement and support the company’s performance management framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Guide managers Pitt bosses and employees on conducting appraisals, and addressing underperformance.Monitor performance review cycles and ensure timely completion of evaluations.Promote a culture of accountability, feedback, and continuous improvement.
