Job Title: Industrial Pipefitter ForemanJob DescriptionAs an Industrial Pipefitter Foreman, you will be responsible for performing pipe fabrication, installation, and fitting according to proper specifications. You will identify and locate required tools prior to starting each project, inspect pipes and piping systems to assess their quality and condition, and hoist loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment. You will also cut and bevel piping using cutting torches, saws, and threading machines, maintain tools and equipment, and follow relevant codes, regulations, and safety techniques.Responsibilities
Review and interpret prints (drawings) and work orders for production.
Plan and perform fabrication using working instructions, appropriate materials, and tools.
Fabricate piping systems with knowledge of oxy-fuel cutting and fitting.
Clean and prepare surfaces to be fit up.
Set up, assemble (fit up), and tack weld parts in preparation for welding.
Work with carbon steel and stainless steel.
Essential Skills
Experience with pipefitting, pipe fabrication, installation, and fitting.
Experience with fitting pipe sizes up to 4 inches and as small as half an inch.
Experience with carbon and stainless steel.
Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous industrial pipefitting experience.
Apprenticeship or journeyman preferred.
