Job DescriptionInsight Global is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a large healthcare client. This person will be joining the cost optimization group working on GCP and how they can bring down the cost. The Ideal candidate will have an understanding of costing, specifically how GCP does all the costing. On a day to day, the candidate will be responsible for the design and build for data and applications on GCP as well as automate deployment and scaling processes for GCP resources. They will also monitor and optimize performance, security, and cost-effectiveness on GCP resources. In addition they will be manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment and troubleshoot any issues related to GCP infrastructure. 7-10 years' experience as a DevOps engineer with a background in Data Engineering
Hands on experience with GCP, including GCE, GCS and Big Queary
Experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Terraform & Jenkins
Strong knowledge of data engineering concepts, such as data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and data modeling
Strong scripting skills in at least one language, such as Python or Bash
Experience with containerization and orchestration, such as Docker and Kubernetes
Familiarity with security best practices, such as encryption and access control
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
