Job Description SummaryThe Biosurgery WW Platform is responsible for growing the global business reach of BD Interventional Biosurgery product offerings. This intern will provide support to the Global and US Marketing teams as well as assist on multiple cross-functional projects. The ideal candidate for this position is highly motivated to grow within the organization in the future, thrives in an environment of creativity and accountability, and can perform at a high level across a wide array of assignments.Under the leadership and direction of associates within the Global Biosurgery Marketing team, this semester long internship will offer the opportunity for a student to gain experience by assisting in the execution of internal marketing and sales acceleration initiatives, as well as the analysis of monthly financial documents and organizing data into comprehensible presentations for a leading global medical device company.This position also entails assisting with regulatory and commercialization activities for new product launches in key regions. The Global Marketing Intern will be responsible for organizing and tracking the Product Release to Market and Country Launch Preparedness (PRM/CLP) process for the release of products into international markets. This intern will also gain exposure to global business, product development, RA systems, and commercial strategies.The position also offers opportunities to participate in data gathering and analysis, daily meetings with team members, individual monthly country meetings, attend other company meetings, and will have the opportunity to participate in several 1:1 meetings with the leadership at BD to discuss career options in the medical device field.This position will report to the Senior Global Marketing Manager of Hemostats. Support marketing program executions, projects and commercial activities including:

Assist in development, management, and tracking of marketing tools and systems

Lead internal approval process and systems for global claims and marketing collateral

Prepare monthly financial documents and summaries for management

Create marketing insights, reports, and support presentations for the Biosurgery Platform team

Rebranding of hemostat and sealant collateral

Competitive activity tracking

Track PRM’s and CLP’s for International product launches

Assist with commercial readiness efforts for new product launches

Attend and participate in team meetings

Support R&D benchtop testing initiatives

Special projects as assigned

Formal Education:

Business or other applicable undergrad or masters level program (e.g. MBA) with an interest or focus in marketing or healthcare

Specialized Skills:

Excellent personal communication skills

Effectively prioritizes and allocates resources to drive most impactful business outcomes

Must have the ability to work on several projects simultaneously

Must be able to prioritize responsibilities

Effectively work cross functionally

Exemplary written and verbal communications skills

Self-motivated, ability to work independently

Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment of accountability

Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel

Demonstrated abstract and concrete problem-solving skills

Exceptional drive to pursue a career in medical device

Desired Availability

Position will be part-time, with flexible working hours during summer/fall semester (12-18 Month intern duration commitment)

Position requires full-time (40 hours/week) during summer semester

During regular business hours 8AM-5PM Monday – Friday
