Our company is hiring a Journeyperson Electrician to lead and work on short term projects. You should be efficient, take initiative, and be willing to travel for work throughout the state in a personal vehicle or a company van picked up from the shop. Your day-to-day duties will include installing, operating and repairing electrical systems while acting as supervisor for assigned projects. This opportunity requires a good understanding of residential house wiring, small commercial building wiring, basic fire alarm systems. To succeed in this role, you must have a high level of logical thinking, reasoning skills, patience, and problem solving ability. In addition, you must be able to use your time efficiently and collaborate with others at our company.
Responsibilities:
Perform all duties expected of a journeyperson in day to day tasks, (e.g. build, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment).
Supervise other team members on extended period projects.
Work with a team, or independently, to ensure projects can be completed on time and within budget.
Read and interpret electrical engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Assist in and apply safety procedures ensuring that projects are carried out safely to minimize risk of accidents.
Be able to make on the fly decisions to meet project deadlines.
