We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse and Shipping Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various shipping methods and warehouse operations. This role requires proficiency in operating warehouse equipment and a commitment to maintaining high-quality service standards and a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proficiently handle different shipping methods, including FedEx, UPS, etc.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, with required experience in lift truck and forklift operations.
- Understand and adhere to receiving protocols.
- Be familiar with and apply inventory control methods, including FIFO (First In, First Out).
- Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; and placing orders in the delivery area.
- Demonstrate good record-keeping skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Maintain inventory controls to ensure accurate tracking and management of stock.
- Uphold quality service by following organizational standards.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations orderly; maintaining a clean shipping supply area; and complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Complete and accurately enter information into reports.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Perform other duties as necessary to support the warehouse and shipping operations.
Education and Experience:
- A GED or High School Diploma is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of previous experience in warehouse/shipping roles is preferred.
- Strong computer skills are essential.
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- No weekend work required.
