Closing
The position is responsible for the complete closing process; including the preparing and reviewing closing documents for all purchase and refinance loans. This entails verifying the accuracy of the file details such as interest rate, sales price, loan amount, and vesting. This position with manage the closing calendar and meet all closing dates. This involves effective communication with borrowers, lenders, and third parties such as attorneys, closing agents, and vendors to obtain necessary information for closing documents and to solve any issues that may arise.
Daily functions can include
Enter file data into internal software to prepare HUD1 Statement and supplemental documents required to be signed at closing
Review HUD for correct fees and charges to determine if the closing related fees comply with state and federal regulations
Follow up for and receive HUD approval; make necessary changes to HUD as requested
Verifies accuracy and consistency of specifications on documents
Packages loan documents for email delivery to notary and/or closing attorney
Requirements:
Must have 2+ years in title industry experience
Must have excellent verbal/written communications kills
Must be flexible and adapt to change quickly
Must have critical thinking and problem solving skills
Must have strong organizational and multi tasking skills
Must show strong initiative
Must work well in a fast paced team driven environment
Necessary computer programs knowledge and use: Microsoft Outlook (email), Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel. Resware experience a plus.
