Aurelia, the fine dining restaurant at Castle Hill Inn, is seeking a Chef de Partie with a serious commitment to culinary excellence. This is an ideal opportunity for culinarians who are passionate about high-end ingredients, refined technique, and working alongside chefs who care deeply about their craft.

As part of the prestigious Relais & Chteaux family, Aurelia offers a tasting menu experience inspired by Rhode Island’s seasons, coastline, and farms. Our kitchen is driven by discipline, curiosity, and a deep respect for the world’s best ingredients- from pristine local shellfish and heritage meats to globally celebrated delicacies.

A key part of our identity is our on-site culinary garden, which provides the kitchen with daily harvests of herbs, edible flowers, and seasonal produce. You’ll work directly with ingredients that are grown just steps from the line- learning not only how to use them, but how to appreciate their origin and seasonality.

About the Position: The Fine Dining Chef de Partie will be responsible for daily prep and production of items within the kitchen. This position reports directly to the Chef de Cuisine or Sous Chef on duty.

About You: You have a passion for cooking, ingredients, and technique. This position is perfect for a motivated individual with management and interpersonal skills.

Essential Duties:

Execute precise, beautiful plates on your station during service

Master mise en place, prep, and systems that support consistency and excellence

Collaborate with a talented, driven team in a high-performance kitchen environment

Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety

Qualifications:

Must have flexible schedule to work during days, nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed

2+ years of experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant kitchen

Culinary degree preferred, but not required

Skills & Abilities:

A hunger to learn, improve, and contribute at a high level

A deep respect for ingredients, technique, and team

Strong fundamentals- knife skills, station management, time awareness

A positive, humble attitude and a desire to build a long-term path in fine dining

Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills

Must be able to stand for long periods of time\Ability to lift and move 25-50 pounds

Be collaborative, using a team approach to creating an equitable workplace environment and have respectful working relationships

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive compensation - $22-25/Hour
