Our client in Providence, RI is seeking a direct hire Software Development Manager. The Software Development Manager will be responsible for full lifecycle solutions and be responsible for driving Java development of off the shelf software. You will partner with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and the User base to develop and test customized solutions and workflows.
To be considered, you must have:- At least 8 – 10 years of formal IT experience
- At least 3 – 5 years of experience leading and managing Java development teams
- Experience with Java, JSON, SQL, Oracle, and APIs and an ability to be technically hands on / savvy to manage the development team and oversee their work
- Experience as Agile Scrum Master; Certification is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership skills
- This role will require the candidate to be onsite in RI as COVID restrictions ease over time
