The Sizewell C Technical Directorate (TD) are looking for a passionate Programme Engineering Manager to join us in our dynamic Civil Works Programme focussed on the Nuclear Island (NI) structures.

Nuclear Island (NI) is the heart of a nuclear power plant, housing critical components like the reactor, steam generators, and containment structure. It is responsible for generating heat through nuclear fission and ensuring safety with robust systems and controls. The NI works alongside the Conventional Island, which refers to the part of a power plant that directly generates electricity, including systems like the boiler, turbine, generator, and condenser. This converts steam into electricity, forming the core of the plant’s operations. The RoleThis is a key role to lead delivery within our engineering, configuration and design replication strategy. As Civil Programme Engineering Manager – Nuclear Island you’ll guide programmes in applying these principles to drive optimal project decisions and implement cross-cutting engineering methods and requirements.As the technical lead for your programme(s), you’ll manage design issues, risks and opportunities, while ensuring clarity around responsibilities, interfaces, and deliverables. You’ll also mobilise the right engineering and specialist resources to ensure timely, high-quality design outcomes.Acting as Principal Designer under CDM regulations, you’ll represent the Technical Director within your scope. You’ll lead a teams engineers and a wider multi-disciplinary group, overseeing design work valued at over £100 million. Why This Role MattersAs a Civil Programme Engineering Manager – Nuclear Island, you’ll be the crucial connection between the Sizewell C Technical Directorate and our delivery programmes. You’ll be embedded within the Civil Works Programme, ensuring the seamless integration of technical expertise to meet objectives and priorities Driving design and empowering progress.
