Local company in York is seeking a skilled and experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to join their team. In the manufacturing plant, you'll be working on our machines that produce sports flooring and all of the supporting pieces of equipment that our employees use in their daily jobs. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic manufacturing facility environment. This is a hands-on role that requires strong electro-mechanical knowledge and a keen eye for detail.
Duties
- Perform regular and preventative maintenance to prevent unexpected downtime.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions and determine the best adjustment or repair.
- Conduct repairs and tasks as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
- Use technical skills to communicate effectively with machine operators
- Interpret and follow schematics and diagrams to complete tasks.
- Collaborate closely with Machine Operators to understand machine issues and leverage their knowledge to find solutions to complete tasks and ensure the safety and efficiency of the facility.
- Maintain and repair physical structure to our buildings and grounds, including snow removal, basic plumbing, HVAC and carpentry. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- You'll be working with things such as NC and CNC controls, PLC hardware and software, control circuits, electro/mechanical systems, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Requirements
- A strong foundation in electro-mechanical knowledge and experience working in a manufacturing facility.
- 2+ years of experience with controls wiring (120/240/480 volts), AC and DC motor drive controls, multi-meter, amp-meter, oscilloscope, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Ability to adhere to safety protocols.
- Associates degree in Electromechanics or related field; OR an apprenticeship in Electromechanical Maintenance; OR a high school diploma / GED and 2+ years of experience with electrical, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine shop tools.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to drive a box truck or flat bed with manual or automatic transmission.
Pay rate is $29.00 - $38.00/hr. depending on experience + $2.00/hr. shift differential. This is a direct hire position. If you are interested in applying for this position please respond to this ad with your resume.
