Accountant (Controllership)Contract PositionOn SiteSUMMARYResponsible for managing and maintaining Accounts Payable and related cash functions by working with vendors, departments, and Finance.This position is accountable for the maintenance and control of the Fixed Asset accounting.This is also an integral part of the general ledger accounting functions.

DUTIES

Work with vendors, Purchasing, departments, and Finance to ensure that vendors receive payment based on agreed terms

Manages cash functions for payables and payroll

Ensure that Capital Expenditures are properly approved, tracked, and accounted

Work with Customer Service in receiving payments from Customers

Prepares various financial reports

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial packages for both divisional and corporate use

Prepare monthly analysis of various accounts

Reports on cash collections and applications for month end reporting

Lean accounting initiatives and corporate efficiencies

Participate in corporate management of Sarbanes Oxley requirements

Interfaces with sister divisions to reconcile intercompany activity

Month end closing of Oracle modules, close journal entries

Assist Manufacturing in reviewing inventory balances and variances

Analytical analysis supporting executive management understanding of businessunit performance

Meet all deadlines and ensure all task are completed correctly and timely

Provide written and verbal instructions, compile and present business reports/correspondence, and present information clearly.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Accounting

5 + years of financial or accounting work experience, including experience in a manufacturing environment

Proficient in Excel including ability to create and modify Pivot Tables and functions

Must have experience with Oracle

Accounting as it applies to Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Inventory

Excellent verbal and written communication/language skills required

Interpersonal skills to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
