DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will serve as a Lieutenant and perform administrative and supervisory work in the care, custody, control, discipline, and non-professional counseling of inmates housed at the institution. Your duties will also include supervising subordinate officers and ensuring their work is carried out in compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and regulations; conducting daily tours of the inmate housing units and addressing any concerns; ensuring that inmate transports out of or into the institution are properly processed; overseeing the search of visitors, vehicles, materials, and supplies for contraband; and submitting all necessary transport and movement records and reports.
