THE POSITIONThe Department of Transportation is seeking a Clerical Assistant 2 for a vacancy in the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. DESCRIPTION OF WORKThe Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will be responsible for examining and data entering pertinent information using a desktop computer to establish abandoned vehicles and process applications to establish a certificate of title or certificate of salvage. This position is responsible for collection of monies and data entering proper amounts of monies using CRT Terminals. This position will also provide clerical support services to the entire dealer unit by answering questions related to dealers, full agents, messengers and abandoned vehicles. Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions, and communicate with the general public, dealers and messengers. Interested in learning more? Full-time employment.
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
Overtime as needed.
Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
Graduation from high school;or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
