THE POSITIONThe Department of State is currently searching for a Clerical Assistant 2 who will provide clerical and office support within the Bureau of Corporations and Charitable Organizations ensuring efficient operations and effective work product.If this sounds interesting to you, apply today to join our team! DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, the Clerical Assistant 2 will sort mail daily by filing type and date. (Corporate, Uniform Commercial Code, Certification, Charities). You will perform data entry of all documents pertaining to the Division of Operations and Support, including entering information from the filings and requests for processing in the computer system according to bureau policies and procedures, as provided.The CA2 will also review documents to ensure they meet all requirements and verify all data entry to confirm they are error free. Search and retrieve information contained on microfilm and prepares documents for scanning by coding and affixing labels to them. You will be required to create reports of the work submitted in the computer systems. Track checks and payments made for filings and requests. Reject submitted filings and requests when no money is attached. You are responsible for the preparation of user close out reports and wrap checks/payments for processing. Perform customer service duties by answering phone calls from internal and external sources pertaining to questions regarding filings and payments.Interested in learning more? Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
Work hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday-Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time after the completion of the probation period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
Graduation from high school;or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
