The School of Public Policy at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a full-timeVisiting Assistant Professor to start Fall 2025, with flexibility.Responsibilities include conducting high-quality research and supporting the research agenda of Professor Anthony Bertelli, the Sherwin Whitmore Chair of Liberal Arts.Candidates should have research interests in bureaucratic politics and/or European politics, possess advanced proficiency in quantitative methods, and demonstrate a strong background in theory building. The ideal candidate will be an independent and motivated researcher.Fluent English language skills are required, and fluency in another language, such as French, German, Italian, Portuguese, or Spanish, is desirable.Preference will be given for those who can teach statistics, policy analysis, or economics policy in the Master of Public Policy Program and the State, Society, and Public Policy course at the undergraduate level.This position will include resident instruction and normal university service. Your teaching load during the academic year is three courses for the School of Public Policy. Onsite teaching is an essential function of this job.A Ph.D. in public policy, political science, or related field is required by the appointment date.
