Vacancy caducado!
Our calves drink milk from bottles. It is fun to watch them suckle down the milk in the morning and afternoon feedings. The calves need to have their bedding refreshed so they have a nice clean place to lay down. The cows are out on pasture all day long but when they come into the barn for milking we give them hay, They seem to like the crunchy dry hay and then they lie down after being milked until it is time to go outside again. we give then a vitamin and mineral mix with amino acid supplements in a pelleted mix. They really like that too. We have heifers (those are young female stock-not cows yet) that get fed hay and the pellet mix as well.
The right person could milk cows eventually, which is fun too.
For now, we need someone to help feed the calves, cows and heifers. Shifts available are Saturday morning from 6am to 930 am and Sunday morning from 6 am to 930 am. More may be available at the end of the summer.
