RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support, manage, and participate in a variety of learning environments and activities that provide opportunities for students to develop to their fullest potential and achieve their learning objectives.
Support the delivery of lesson plans for a young preschool classroom, implement school curriculum, and support the developmental needs of students.
Maintain a healthy and safe environment.
Communicate positively with students, parents, and staff.
Safely lift a child or children with a total weight of 40 pounds.
Conduct activities involving substantial standing, walking, and moderate sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, twisting, and reaching on a frequent basis.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Assistant Teacher Applicants: Need at least a high school diploma
Previous experience in a licensed preschool or early development center is preferred.
Experience using Procare.
Able to furnish required clearances.
Exhibits strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Sense of humor encouraged.
Note: Experience in nannying, infant care, classroom management, early childhood education, childcare, caregiving, babysitting, or any related field is highly desirable.
