Montgomery County Community College invites applications for the Part-Time Resource Coach (Temporary, Grant-Funded) position. The Part-Time Resource Coach is to build upon the work of theStudentWellness Inclusion Model. This position will engage with students on a daily basis; identify barriers to student retention and completion, both personal and academic, propose solutions, and help students access the appropriate campus and community resources to support student retention. The Part-time Resource Coach is responsible for providing holistic case management services and intensive and targeted supportin support of the College's efforts to increase student persistence, retention, and completionThis position is responsible for promoting student wellness, using a coaching approach to assist students through in-person meetings, emails, texts, phone calls, and video chats. This position will also facilitate informational sessions and workshops for students as well as faculty and staff about available college and community resources. This role will help to facilitate peer support groups within the Wellness Center. Delivering a program that responds to the College's guiding belief that every student can receive what they need to be successful; the Part-time Resource Coach reduces barriers for students who are seeking and participating in services that promote their mental and physical wellness.HOURS: This is a part-time, non-exempt 25 hours/week position. This is a College-wide position, working out of both the Blue Bell and Pottstown campuses, and must be available to work day, and some evening and weekend hours when needed.This position is contingent upon grant-fundingwith an expected end date of May 2025.This position requires the new hire to submit the child abuse clearance, the PA State Police check, and FBI fingerprint results to Human Resources prior to their first day of employment.This position has been approved for a flexible work option arrangement. Flexible work options can be endedat any timeby the College, Cabinet, and/or supervisors based on employee performance and/or as institutional needs change.ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:Education/Training/Work Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health, Human Services, Psychology, or related field required.

At least 2 years of case management experience required.

Strong youth engagement and positive youth development skills

Proficient in using technology, including Microsoft Office applications and student information systems.

Experience working with data management tools

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work cross-functionally with students, administration, faculty and the community at large.

Ability to work independently and with a team,can function in peer-to-peer learning environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

Understanding of relevant regulatory issues including HIPAA and FERPA.

Highly motivated to help students succeed.

Ability to exercise discretion and tact in all interpersonal contacts, and to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Ability to maintain composure under stressful conditions.

Ability to be optimistic, positive, and supportive in interactions with others.

Demonstrated commitment to work with diverse populations, such as under-resourced groups and first-generation students.
