Tedesco Construction Company an established company since 1977 is Now hiring a Full-time Diesel Mechanic for Heavy Equipment and Heavy Trucks.

Job Summary

-Mechanic to diagnose and repair company fleet of work trucks, heavy diesel trucks/heavy equipment.

-Responsible for performing maintenance and repairs of a significant nature on all types of equipment and/or assisting with repairs/improvements/maintenance of equipment to assure it is in safe working condition keeping equipment running and maintained properly (excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, compactors, rock trucks, dump trucks etc.) Fabricates, constructs, installs, and repairs equipment on an as needed basis.

Duties & Responsibilities:

-Troubleshoot equipment, maintenance problems and properly diagnose to determine necessary repairs.

- Read, interpret, analyze and apply information in technical manuals and schematics.

-Anticipate needed parts and supplies, disassemble equipment and parts, fabricate parts when needed and reassemble equipment and parts

-Performs safety and maintenance checks as needed.

-Repairs, overhauls, maintains and services fuel injection systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, air conditioning systems, lubrication systems

-Safely operate equipment, standard and specialty tools, welders, hoists and other lifting devices, etc.

- Adhere to company policies, standards, and safety guidelines, Ensure OSHA, DOT, MSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.

- Performs other duties that arise.

Skills:

-Troubleshoot equipment to detect faults & malfunctions

-Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts

-Test repaired equipment for proper performance.

-Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work.

-Service attachments and working tools.

-Analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills

-Keep maintenance records of reports and documentation

Requirements:

-Must have Valid PA Driver's License (CDL a plus)

-Drive and maintain mechanic truck

-Must have welding experience/skills

-Electrical experience for install, repair and preventative maintenance

-3 years heavy duty mechanic experience preferred fixing construction equipment and vehicles.

-Background working on equipment brands such as CAT, Komatsu, Kubota, CASE, MACK, Kenworth, Ford etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $48,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

8-hour shift Monday thru Friday. Overtime available

Ability to commute/relocate:

White Oak, PA 15131: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

Mechanical knowledge: 3 years Minimum (Preferred)

License/Certification:

Driver's License class C required (CDL a plus)

Welding certification (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

25% (Preferred)

Work Location: One location with field service as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
