We are all united in delivering the best experience for our customers. As a Security Engineer Sr. within PNC's Security organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. Remote work will be considered for a well-qualified candidate. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:•Must understand directory services, access management (SSO), federation, web services, and service-oriented architectures (SOA) concepts.•6+ years plus experience with installation, integration, and deployment of Ping Access and Ping Federate servers or CA SiteMinder, CA Secure Proxy Server•6+ years of experience in installing, configuring, and upgrading/migrating IAM components.•6+ years of experience with configuration of Ping Access sites, policies, access rules, and groovy scripts•6+ years of experience with configuring Ping Federate adapters, adapter mappings, selectors, policies, and OGLN expression.•6+ years of experience implementing reverse proxy and web filtering tools such as Apache proxy and mod-security•4+ years of experience with developing custom adapters/plug-ins using Ping Federate SDK and Ping Access SD•Microsoft Azure AD and Google cloud experience•6+ experience using open standards such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, LDAP, and REST APIs.•Basic knowledge of the Open Shift platform and how it integrates with Ping technology. •Experience in performance tuning and problem determination•Hands-on experience with integration, troubleshooting, log analysis, break-fix of the products as mentioned above and services•Experience in performing log analysis using Splunk or other tools for troubleshooting user tickets.•Substantial experience on Linux/Unix & Windows Operating systems•Network topology design, performance and fault tolerance architecture experience is a plus•Ability to work in a team oriented environment where collaboration is encouraged and valued.•Excellent oral and written communication skills•Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, collaborative environment•Ability to work independently and manage workload with minimal supervision•Be available on an on-call basis to respond to pending issues or problems arising during non-business hours and provide support and response.•Preferred to have Micro Services and Apigee Gateway experience. •There will be some off hours required.Job Description

  • Provides subject matter expertise when applying security concepts. Works as an engineering lead. Leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain technology solutions. Responsible for deliverables related to program timelines.
  • Responsible for working with architecture to take high level architectural designs and determining the specifics around implementation details (ex: sizing) integration details, onboarding and operationalization. Provides environmental expertise when engaged in the review of capabilities and/or functions, including the road map planning process. Is the identified capability owner for future enhancement requests.
  • Leads in the evaluation of patches, updates, ongoing maintenance. Determines impacts to existing solutions when new standards are implemented. Drives collaboration with the operations team to identify pain points and implement corrective actions, and additional functions/features. Utilizes change control and other governance processes to ensure alignment of solutions.
  • Develops detailed implementation, configuration, design, and engineering documentation. Build and implement solution.
  • Works with operation partners to enable transition and day-to-day supportability.
  • Provides engineering support to existing technology in a production environment, collaborating with other groups as required. Seeks opportunities to grow broad knowledge base to complement specific subject matter expertise. Provides mentoring and knowledge sharing with other members of the team.
