Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our team and maintain our fleet of landscaping equipment and vehicles. This individual will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of small engines, lawn equipment, trailers, trucks, and other machinery used in daily landscaping operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and small engine machinery.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company trucks and trailers (oil changes, brake work, tire rotations, lighting, etc.).
Maintain accurate service and repair records for all equipment and vehicles.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine appropriate solutions to minimize downtime.
Order parts and supplies as needed, ensuring inventory is properly stocked.
Keep the shop area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Assist in equipment setup and modifications as required for specific projects.
Conduct pre-season and post-season inspections and servicing of equipment.
Collaborate with field crews and operations team to prioritize equipment repairs and maintenance needs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training preferred.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a mechanic
Knowledge of gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and trailer maintenance.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor conditions as needed.
