A DSP is responsible for performing essential tasks assisting individuals with disabilities and/or behavioral challenges with everyday lives and independence.Hours may vary depending on situations. Being flexible in your schedule is important based on the needs of the individual and their familySupervisory Responsibilities:None. Duties/Responsibilities:Review and complete sign off sheet for individual ISP, BSP, and supervision levels before working with individualResponsible for understanding and meeting utilization hours and making up any hours missedMay need to assist in finding coverage for a shift you need off and help to cover if another team needs offResponsible for addressing goals/objectives dailyAttend additional ISP meetings upon requestResponsible for the data collection related to objectives, behavioral support plans, and skill building plansResponsible for all duties related to direct-care and Activities of Daily Life, including Health & Safety of the individual.Communicate incidents to the proper partiesTransportation of individuals to and from activities as needed or help individuals achieve independence through public transportationDocumenting and reporting progress to support team and Employment SpecialistHelp individuals achieve independence in their workplace by managing and achieve behavioral objectivesAssist individuals in achieving independence by creating checklists and other reasonable accommodations by working with the individual's supports.Maintain communication with Program Manager and treatment teamResponsible for adhering to the Policies and Procedures of the CompanyUtilizing EVV/Setworks for clocking in and out of sessionsComplete notes and documentation within same day of shiftUtilizing company provided email and checking several times dailyAttending a monthly staff meeting & complete all assigned monthly trainings based on policyProviding HR & Training Teams with appropriate documentation in a timely mannerTeam playerOther duties assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.Education and Experience:Must be 18 years of age or olderHigh School Diploma or GED preferred but not necessaryExperience in Human Services is preferred but not requiredPhysical Requirements:Must be able to assist individuals with getting up, walking, and moving by lifting or guiding when necessary.Must be able to lift 75 pounds or more at times.
