Overview Regulatory Solutions sits within Corporate Technology and is responsible for the governance and oversight of all change within the regulatory lifecycle for the first line of defense, and engages both internally and externally to ensure BNY Mellon complies with its regulatory obligations. Validates all aspects of programs within an assigned segment of the Regulatory Portfolio. Supports the prioritization of programs based on Regulatory urgency and funding. Facilitates change control process in alignment with the portfolio validation and prioritization operating model. Provides guidance and direction during the annual planning process. Performs extensive due diligence on regulatory programs throughout the annual planning cycle and through continuous planning. Prepares materials for and contributes to both annual and monthly Regulatory Portfolio review sessions with senior management. Contributes to developing the strategic direction of the Regulatory Solutions function, with an understanding of Financial Services (FS) regulations and how Operations & Technology supports the Lines of Business in delivering associated change.
Key Responsibility of the role:-- Performs oversight of the Regulatory Solutions financials and administrative functions for a segment of the Regulatory Portfolio
- Liaises with Program Stakeholders to achieve clear understanding of Regulatory drivers, deliverables, resolve anomalies and articulate risks, issues and benefits. Assesses deliverables against the specifics of the applicable Law, Rule or Regulation.
- Works across Regulatory Solutions capabilities to drive execution through the production of routine and bespoke MI.
- Produces routine and ad hoc reports for Regulatory Solutions, automating wherever possible.
- Drives efficiency in processes, influencing change outside of Regulatory Solutions where necessary.
- Liaises with key program stakeholders to investigate and resolve anomalies in relation to program financials and artifacts.
- Regulatory Solutions coordination for SharePoint and Teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication. Communication and organizational skills; team work skills; possess strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to influence and direct business decisions.
- Ability to work independently or with a team, on their own initiative producing high quality work that will be scrutinised at the highest levels.
- Leverage own FS regulatory understanding to ensure that the organisation continues to evolve its capabilities in sync with its primary 2LoD partners.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
- 8+ years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a significant plus.
- Some FS Regulatory understanding is essential.
