Identify and define requirements and/or metrics for the use of technology to improve processes and systems related to operations equipment, to include attention to safety issues and development and/or revision of SOP's, as applicable.
Collect, compile, and analyze all operations-related information and report on results.
Proactively troubleshoot and provide recommendations to existing procedures and actions to improve processes as well as advising others (union repair crews, environmental groups, etc.) of concerns as directed by management.
Develop automated methods to track work-flow and performance efficiencies.
Conduct various testing processes in support of analytical decision-making.
Act as liaison and participate in defining technology solutions to solve problems with long-term implications.
Coordinate reporting and/or responses to internal or external sources requiring analysis and/or information (e.g., the Ops-Engineering department, PUC, other PNG departments, etc.)
Develop, assist, and/or provide training related to analysis results.
Process department invoices and monitor budget and costs of projects.Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of policies, practices, procedures, and internal operations of engines and compressors as well as all compliance regulations.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, compile, and analyze data.
Solid planning, writing, and data management skills; detail oriented.
Effective problem-solver with initiative and ability to use sounds judgement.
Solid communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal relationships.
Ability to clearly explain and relate analysis processes and findings to gas operations practices.Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years analytical experience.
Demonstrated experience research, analysis, and logical results development.
Bachelor's degree in field providing analytical education required.
Demonstrated related experience may be substituted for preferred education.
Valid driver's license and ability to drive PNG Company Vehicles.NOTE: This position may be specifically defined by specialty within Customer Service, Gas Operations, or Operations Support (e.g., Customer Service, Process, Damage Prevention, Pipeline Integrity, Transmission and Storage Design, etc.); as such, specific experience in the specialty will be a requirement if so designated.
