Production Associate - Seasonal

Workplace safety and managing the operation of our Company in an environmentally responsible manner is the responsibility of each Associate.  Associates are responsible for participating in our Company’s incident and injury prevention programs as well as our Company’s environmental programs.  All associates must comply with our environmental, health and safety policies and procedures as well as federal, state and local regulations.RESPONSIBILITIESPerform support functions in various departments, which may include some or all of the following:Assist with fabricating wood crates in accordance with product size requirementsOperate mobile equipment to transport materials between departmentsAssist other team members with physically moving/carrying materials from one location to anotherSecure products in crates and close crates in compliance with safety and quality standardsPrepare and protect extrusions and related parts for shipmentUtilize hand tools to assemble small component made-to-stock parts (ex. hinges), while meeting or beating established production quotasPrep rails by attaching all gaskets, basic hardware, and setting blocks to the rail for the assembly processPull materials for manufacturing and ensure physical inventory records are maintainedPrepare and protect products, as needed, for the Packing DepartmentPrep parts for the finishing processRemove bars from the dip tank following its cycle and hang bars on racks for the drying processMove parts and extrusions in and out of the ovensSupport the Warehousing Team to pull inventory, as needed, according to the production schedulePerform physical counts of inventory on handPerform inspections, as needed, to ensure quality parts; immediately report damaged or scratched materialsProvide support for thermal break machining functionsAssemble various fenestration products, in alignment with the production scheduleVisually check parts and/or glass for scratches, dings, and dents prior to assemblyAssist with housekeeping, organization, and continuous improvement projects as assignedMaintain a clean and safe environmentOther duties as assigned
