Fabricator – Mechanical Assembly Technician

Location: Aston, PA

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Pay Range: $21.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience

Position Overview:

SST is seeking a Fabricator – Mechanical Assembly Technician for a valued client in Aston, PA. This role involves hands-on fabrication and assembly of rigging products made from synthetic materials, steel cable, and chain. These products are used in heavy lifting and cargo tie-down applications across industrial sectors.

We are looking for mechanically inclined individuals who thrive in a manufacturing environment and are committed to producing high-quality work. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, experience with tools and equipment, and a focus on safety and precision.

Responsibilities:

Assemble and fabricate rigging products using synthetic, steel cable, and chain materials.

Operate heavy-duty production equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Maintain high standards of quality and meet production goals.

Follow safety protocols and workplace guidelines.

Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED.

Previous industrial or manufacturing experience required.

Mechanically inclined with strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math (addition and subtraction).

Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.

Understanding of safety guidelines in a manufacturing environment.

Strong attention to detail and quality control.

Must be able to pass a pre employment drug test and background check.

Job requires proper use of PPE: safety glasses, and work boots

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand, bend, walk, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift.

Must be able to move safely around the production floor and handle physical tasks.

Exposure to moderate noise levels typical of a manufacturing environment.
