Handyman Assistant for Property Management

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman Assistant to support our property management team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in property maintenance and repairs, ensuring our properties are well-maintained and running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.

- Address and resolve tenant repair requests promptly and efficiently.

- Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs and potential issues.

- Assist in the preparation of units for new tenants, including cleaning, minor repairs, and installations.

- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and larger projects.

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed repairs.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

- Provide support during property renovations and upgrades.

- Respond to emergency maintenance requests outside of regular working hours when necessary.

- Collaborate with property managers and other team members to ensure tenant satisfaction and property upkeep.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a handyman or maintenance technician, preferably within property management.

- Proficient in a variety of trades including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Reliable, with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.

- Availability for emergency call-outs as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certification or vocational training in relevant trades.

- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.

- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems.

- Experience using property management software.
