Looking for caretaker/aide for my mom. She lives in a nursing facility and has advanced dementia-she is sweet but confused. The position is 6 days a week, 6 or 7 hours a day. I am looking for someone who is fun to be around because mom likes to laugh. The applicant should be comfortable holding mom's hand and fixing her clothes and hair. Mom likes a companion to take her to activities, go outside with her, read at the library, and encourage her to eat. The applicant should stay in contact with me daily by phone or by text. I live nearby and am involved.
Applicant should have experience with dementia and the elderly, have reliable transportation and be responsible. References required.
