Kingsessing Ice Cream Shop is a newly founded neighborhood ice cream shop. We are a family owned and operated business in West Philly committed to providing fair wages to our employees, and good food at a reasonable price to our patrons. We are seeking new people to grow our small business through the upcoming season.
We are seeking Shift Assistants, a part-time, hourly position. The Shift Assistant assists the Shift Lead by making waffle cones, running the POS, keeping the shop clean, stocking, and helping out with other tasks as needed.
Specific responsibilities:
Prepare waffle cones and bowls
Input customer orders into POS and take payment
Restock food items, drygoods, cleaning chemicals, etc.
Clean, all surfaces, dishes, and equipment as necessary
Ensure a positive customer experience
Coordinate with Shift Lead to ensure smooth customer flow
Requirements:
Ability to engage with a wide variety of persons in a professional, personable way
Ability to interface with small children
Can lift 35 lbs overhead
An eye for cleanliness and organization
Must be at least 16 years or older
Bonus: Good handwriting (for updating flavors on board)
Bonus: Experience in hospitality or food service industry
The rate for the position is $12/hour + tips.
