Are you handy? Man or Women, we're looking to hire our next handy person. We're different, we're looking for someone with restaurant experience to join our team and either learn to be a handy person or if you already have some skills hone them in a professional environment.
We're A to Z Family Business, we're a local contractor in the Phoenixville area that works in Chester, Montgomery and Delaware counties, some Philly work. We do the small jobs that other contractors do not want to do.
The owner comes from the restaurant industry before Covid, over 23 years in restaurants and started a construction company in the beginning of Covid. We find that the soft skills that are hammered into us in restaurants make the perfect person to join our team. We can teach the hard skills like doing drywall, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc but we cannot teach the soft skills that are our core values and by far the most important part of hiring someone.
Daily expectations for the job would be,
- driving from your home to job sites throughout the area and finishing and going home from job sites each day
- in many cases grabbing materials at hardware stores (home depot, lowes, etc)
- being able to read what we call a "job summary form" with pictures that shows what needs to be done at the job with all the steps needed to finish the work
- communicating through software and phones, communication is huge for us
- pride in the quality of work that you do
- creating raving fans with our customers, they should want to talk about how amazing you were when you leave
We do a lot of different types of jobs,
- carpentry - decks, baseboard, crown molding, wainscotting or other fun trim, exterior trim, door replacements
- drywall - repairing drywall in homes, mostly smaller repairs from leaks, electrical work, damage, etc
- electrical - we have a licensed electrician on our team and we do everything electrical
- plumbing - we have a licensed plumber on our team and we do everything plumbing wise
- handy(man) jobs - this is so broad, all over the board with what we will do
