Bar/Restaurant: We are seeking a skilled and creative individual to join our team as a Cook and Sandwich Carver. This role involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, as well as showcasing visually appealing sandwiches. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with an outgoing friendly personality.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure high-quality standards for all food items, including taste, appearance, and portion size.
2. Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate food preparation and cooking schedules.
3. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
4. Utilize creativity and precision to carve and assemble sandwiches into visually appealing presentations.
5. Follow food safety protocols and regulations to ensure the health and safety of customers and staff.
6. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and accommodating special requests.
7. Support the overall success of the kitchen and restaurant by assisting with other tasks and duties as assigned.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience working as a cook or chef in a restaurant or similar setting.
2. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a high-volume environment.
3. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
4. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
5. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
6. Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
