JOB SUMMARYPosition Overview: We are seeking a skilled individual for the position of Wire Straighten and Cut Machine Operator with additional responsibilities in warehouse picking and packing. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities:Machine Operation (Wire Straighten and Cut):
Machine Setup and Operation:Set up and operate wire straighten and cut machines, ensuring that they produce wire pieces according to required specifications.
Quality Control:Inspect wire output regularly to ensure it meets length, straightness, and quality standards.
Routine Maintenance:Perform daily maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments to keep machines running optimally.
Safety Compliance:Follow all machine safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe material handling.
Troubleshooting:Identify and resolve common machine issues to minimize downtime.
Documentation:Record production data, machine settings, and any issues encountered during shifts.
Warehouse Picking and Packing:
Order Picking:Accurately pick items from the warehouse for customer orders, ensuring the correct products, quantities, and packaging.
Packing and Labeling:Pack items securely to prevent damage during shipping, label packages accurately, and follow specific packing instructions when needed.
Inventory Management:Assist in tracking inventory levels, organizing stock, and alerting supervisors when stock needs replenishment.
Shipping Preparation:Prepare orders for shipping, following company guidelines, and ensure packages meet all quality standards before dispatch.
Safety in the Warehouse:Adhere to warehouse safety protocols, including safe lifting practices and careful handling of materials.
General Responsibilities:
Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with team members, supervisors, and quality control to maintain smooth operations across production and warehouse activities.
Continuous Improvement:Proactively seek ways to improve machine operation, quality control, and warehouse processes.
Cross-Training:Be open to training in additional areas of production and warehouse operations as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience:Previous experience operating wire straighten and cut machines, as well as experience in warehouse picking and packing, is preferred.
Technical Skills:Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand machine operation instructions and quality control standards.
Attention to Detail:Consistently produce high-quality work with a focus on precision and accuracy in both production and warehouse tasks.
Physical Requirements:Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a physically demanding environment.
Communication Skills:Good verbal and written communication skills for reporting issues and coordinating with team members.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Additional technical training or certification in machine operation or warehouse management is a plus.
