EnviroScience is looking to hire a full-time Wetland Project Manager to support our natural resources division within Stow, Ohio headquarters or remotely as part of our Pennsylvania team. This position will best fit someone who can successfully manage multiple tasks and projects synchronously, exhibits strong scientific writing skills, works independently, is highly detail oriented, and has experience and a background in wetland science or a related natural resources field.

Responsibilities include:

Conducting wetland assessments/delineations, stream assessments, terrestrial surveys, and wetland functional assessments independently

Developing and submitting project reports to various agencies and entities

Permitting for wetland and stream impacts through the United States Army Corps of Engineers Nationwide Permit program and associated state permitting programs

Consulting with clients regarding wetland and stream permitting options

Identifying any other necessary permits or agency coordination requirements

Conducting rare/threatened/endangered species habitat surveys

Conducting work year-round in adverse weather and rough terrain

Independently preparing technical reports and permit documents, and maintaining excellent communication with project managers, clients, employees, and subcontractors

Ability to support client and agency permitting needs during all project processes

Other duties as assigned or required

QualificationsThis position is an excellent opportunity for qualified wetland professionals who like diversified project types, possess a high level of self-motivation, and demonstrate enthusiastic leadership. Other qualifications include:

B.S./B.A. degree in natural science field of study

2+ years wetland delineation field experience

Ability to delineate wetlands independently

Project and/or client management

Preparing and submitting 404 and 401 permit applications through federal and state agencies including USACE, DEP/EPA, SHPO, DNR, and USFWS.

Ability to read and interpret resource and engineering drawings

Experience with local and regional flora identification

Ability to key out and identify plants using identification manuals

Experience with soil classification

Experience with Global Position Systems (GPS)

Well versed in state and federal regulations, the 1987 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Manual, and current Regional Supplements

Experience with Pennsylvania wetland and stream assessment methods and Pennsylvania specific permitting

Experience coordinating with state and federal agencies regarding threatened and endangered species, floodplain development, historic/archaeological, etc.

Experience with technical report writing

Ability to travel overnight

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently

Additional Beneficial Skills:

USACE 40-hour wetland delineation training

Additional background in fisheries, endangered species, herpetology, or amphibians

Experience with agency permitting outside of Pennsylvania
