A bit about us:

We are a healthcare / pharma analytics startup that uses NLP to draw insights and data from medical records and provide healthcare providers / pharmaceutical companies with insights into patient outcomes, morbidity, etc, all in a effort to improve patient care experiences and patient outcomes.

Based in Virginia, we are seeking someone with strong platform, big data, and architecture experience who can help architect and scale new features for our SaaS product. We work with a mixture of Python microservices, all in a containerized AWS environment, and use Spark and Kafka for big data streaming / processing.

We are seeking someone with the below background:

Experience with cloud architectures and large data processing (preferably AWS environments working with Spark, Kafka, etc)
Experience with SaaS analytics platforms - comfortable architecting robust SaaS solutions. Bonus points if projects are related to pharma or healthcare
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage and speak directly with clients to assist in implementations
Strong Python microservices experience
Expertise with Spark and related components - comfortable integrating cloud and big data ecosystems into cloud environments (AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform)

Plusses:

Experience in Healthcare or Pharma setting working on SaaS products
Experience with Real World Data (RWD) or Real World Evidence (RWE)
BS in Computer Science or related field

Responsibilities:

Evaluate and make recommendations on architecture and scalability of SaaS product
Design and implement architecture
Occasionally get your hands dirty in the code working with alongside our developers
Serve as a SME for our product and other Big Data technologies
