Demonstrates exceptional knowledge of and expertise in CHOP's program management methodology, tools practices, and standards. Assigned to complex set of projects spanning over multiple years commitment that requires dedicated project managers and team members.Exhibits outstanding skills in the coordinated management of multiple related projects directed towards a common objective.Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in assimilation of interrelated factors to gain successful results towards the program objectives. This includes complicated plans, decision making, budgets, risk mitigation, and multilayer communication and relationship management.Demonstrates expert proficiency in reviewing and creating detailed documentation and reports relevant to the management and operation of CHOP's computer systems, including budget plans.Exhibits excellent communication skills in dealing with program leadership, project sponsors, colleagues, vendors and organizational administration.

Demonstrates ability to directly supervise project managers in a dedicated, matrix or blended environment.Exhibits seasoned leadership in motivating project teams and stakeholders.

Demonstrates exceptional skill at negotiating agreements with customers, coaching staff, and managing change journey towards program strategic objectives.What you will do

The Program Manager's portfolio of projects with include Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and Technology projects.

A Program Manager functions as both subject matter expert and team manager. The responsibilities echo those of a Principal Project manager, but include direct supervision of team members and projects. A Supervisory Project Manager manages programs of related CHOP project plans and leads the Project Management Organization. A Program Manager Manager also:

Oversees management of a portfolio of related projects; leads and manages large complex projects or a series of projects with significant risk.

Manages and tracks aggregate budget and resources, reconciles shortages and overages in individual budgets, implements project budget controls as needed, and facilitates program audits.

Works with Executive Sponsors and Program Managers to define project scopes, resolve critical issues, mitigate risks, establish and monitor appropriate project budgets, and ensure that program management goals and objectives are successfully completed in compliance with organizational and project management practices, standards and policies.

Collaborates with HR and DTS Resource Managers to identify and select project personnel; communicates the project vision and individual roles to team members; and manages resources, vendors, and all relevant parties.

Monitors project progress, resolves associated issues and mitigates risks, and ensures that stakeholders remain informed and actively involved in the project's timely completion.

Generates and distributes program status reports and metrics for all affiliated stakeholders.

Provides business input to top management, PMO and key stakeholders on decisions to initiate new projects and discontinue existing projects.

Negotiates contracts and manages vendor relationships relative to project portfolio.

Collaborates with the PMO on continuing development of best practice project management tools and techniques.

Manages, coaches and mentors project managers.The department works approximately 80% remotely, 20% on site in our Philadelphia offices on an as-needed basis.Education Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree Business, Healthcare IT or related field Required

Master's Degree Business Administration, Health Administration, Radiologist Assistant or additional disciplines Preferred

Experience Qualifications

At least fifteen (15) years solid experience as project manager in medium to large complex projects with increasing responsibilities. Required

At least three (3) years Program Management responsibilities experience in large complex programs Required

Background in Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and/or Technology projects Preferred

Skills and Abilities

Information Security Requirements:

Understand and comply with all enterprise and IS departmental information security policies, procedures and standards.

Support the integration of information security in the development, design, and implementation of Hospital Technology Resources that process, transmit, or store CHOP information.

Support all compliance activities related to state, federal regulatory requirements, healthcare accreditation standards, and all other applicable regulations that govern the use and disclosure of patient, financial, or other confidential information.
